Southampton Women's confirmed on Sunday the signing of former Super League player Erin Bloomfield.
A product of the Yeovil Town academy set up, Bloomfield had become a firm fan favourite but has decided to make the switch from the Glovers.
Bloomfield adds her firepower to the front line that has already seen 18 goals scored this season.
The 17-year-old was revealed an hour before kick-off in Sunday's draw with Chesham and made it a great debut to scoring twice.
A good individual effort taking on three defenders and a powerful shot from a cutback.
Manager Aaron Smith has been very complimentary of Bloomfield, he said: "I'm am overjoyed to be able to work with a player of Erin's quality.
"I have been monitoring Erin closely now for nearly a year and we felt that this was the right time to approach her.
"She is obviously a great player with Super League experience but she provides us with a completely different dynamic now for our attacking options.
"Erin has already shown to us that she will fit in well with the rest of the squad.
"It's well known that teams that have been promoted from our league, the last few years, have all had a prolific scorer leading the line and now we have one it gives our promotion hopes a massive boost.
"I'd like to welcome Erin and her family to our club and thank Yeovil for making the transfer as smooth as it could have been."
Erin will wear the number 18 shirt this season and is available to sponsor.
