Southampton Women's FC is delighted to announce the signing on 18-year-old defender Gracie White from Chichester City Ladies.
The talented defender is Aaron Smith's first signing this summer having spent several years with Sussex side Chichester City of the FA Women's National League Southern Premier.
While White has experienced set backs with injuries she has matured through all of this and been knocking on the door of the first team while also winning trophies for club and college.
Last season the teenager picked up three trophies; the Sussex Women's County Challenge Cup, the Sussex College County Cup and the College National League trophy.
White is no stranger to winning and was also the captain for the Chichester College side last season.
Manager Aaron Smith was over the moon to bring White to Southampton, he said: "When I met Gracie at Chichester City she was introduced as one of the future captains of first team football.
"After working with her for two seasons I would definitely echo that comment.
"She has also shown immense character to come back from a serious injury and now deserves a chance to prove she has what it takes to play and be successful at this level.
"Gracie has shown her adaptability in training and for a player at such a young age, to feel comfortable in a number of positions, is rare."
Gracie White will wear the number 18 shirt this season.
