Southampton Women's FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Lauren Clark from Chichester City Ladies.

The midfielder spent last season with the Lilywhites following an injury where she regained her fitness and became a first team regular.

Clark was soon a vital member of the Chichester team and helped push the team to a third place finish in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier and lift the Sussex County.

She has also played for Bellevue University who assisted her with her rehabilitation from an ACL injury before returning to the United Kingdom where she signed for, the then Super League 2 side, Watford.

Manager Aaron Smith said: "Lauren for me was one of my best signings last season at Chichester.

"Her style of football fits perfectly into my philosophy and by the end of the season she had a number of other clubs after her, once she had secured a place as one of the starting midfielders in the team.

"Since joining Southampton Women's Lauren has been superb at training and showed that the off season hasn't hindered her development at all.

"She's a lovely character to have around and the relationships that she's building, with the other players, are positive.

"I am honoured and pleased that 'Loz' has chosen to be in our squad this season."

Lauren Clark will wear the number 10 and is available to sponsor, please get in touch with the club if you would like to sponsor her or any of our senior players.
