The girls played some superb football in the first half, outplaying a good Andover side.
The passing improves week on week, and the girls are playing some of the best football that I’ve seen from any team at this age.
All the girls deserve credit for the first half performance. Emily Harryman was outstanding and looks like a different player in the centre forward role.
Amy and Chloe both unstoppable on the wings, using all their skills & tricks to set up others to score.
Ailish coming from the bench was superb in her tackling and distribution of the ball. Ella's long passes were pin point accuracy, one picking out Chloe from at least 30 yards.
The second half proved a slightly different affair though and SWFC didn’t have it all their own way. Andover changed their formation and made it tougher for midfield and defence.
If it wasn’t for superb defending from whichever player was playing as last person, we may have conceded more.
Emma playing right back for the first time, looked like a natural.
Summer has stepped up to another level this season, she was dominant in the middle of the pitch making tackles and releasing the ball efficiently to bring others into the game.
Leyla was one person who kept tracking back, and made the tackle of the game taking the ball away from the forwards foot, just as she was shooting.
Andover proved stronger opponents than the girls have faced so far this season.
