Southampton Women's FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Aaron Smith as our new First Team Manger for the 2019/20 campaign.
Smith comes in off the back of an excellent season in charge of FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division side Chichester City Ladies.
The Lilywhites finished third in the league and were also victorious in the Sussex FA County Women's Challenge Cup final beating Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 to lift the trophy.
Before last term Smith was assistant manager at Portsmouth FC Women and then moved to City in September 2017 where he assisted then manager Matt Wright.
The new manager is also familiar with Southampton having manager the clubs reserve side in 2016/17 season before joining Pompey at the back end of that season.
With promotion a target for the reds next season Chairwoman Emma Delaney had this to say about the appointment: "It is with the very greatest of pleasure that we welcome, Aaron Smith to Southampton Women’s Fc as our new first team manager.
"Aaron’s impeccable record and fantastic philosophy is a credit to him and with his infectious enthusiasm, we know he is the right man to take us onward and upwards in the coming season.

Aaron Smith's first task will be to oversee the upcoming trials ahead of the new National League South West campaign begins in August.
